You can make your s60v3 phone (N73, N81, N78 etc.) work much faster by using the following techniques: Disable LifeBlog Prerequisites: Jbaktaskman or similar task manager program (its free), X-plore. Method: * Use jbaktaskman to kill lifeblog server process. * Make sure X-plore is set to show hidden files. * Then go to C:\DATA\lifeblog \Database * Now delete the file Lifeblog.db. * Reboot the phone. * Again use jbaktaskman to kill lifeblogserver process. * In X-plore, go to C:\DATA \lifeblog\Database and select/ highlight the Lifeblog.db file. * Press 6 and mark this file hidden and read-only by ticking the respective boxes. * Reboot your phone. You are done! LifeBlog Logs most of your actions hence consuming considerable RAM and processing power. Use phone memory when you want speed! * Memory cards are much slower than phone memory in both random and serial access. * Let system use phone memory for faster system processes. Install additional applications in memory card. * Use phone memory for the things where you need speed! * Try using phone memory for messaging instead of memory card for faster speed. Defrag memory card regularly * Frequent random additions and deletions on any memory causes data holes on memory surface. Making the data reading inefficient and slow. This is called fragmentation. * As discussed above, memory cards are much slower as compared to phone memory. When this problem couples up with fragmentation, it becomes pitiable, forget the speed! * Attach your memory card to a PC/Laptop or use your phone in Storage device mode. (Windows XP method) * Right click on the Drive Letter in My computer. * Choose Properties. Select Tools tab. Finally: Defragment now… * Follow the instructions and wait till the completion of the process. Key to keep your phone faster! More the background processes, slower the phone. So check out for startup applications. Remove the applications you do not use. Keeping them causes cluttering in ini files and registries. Enjoy!
