Facebook , owner of WhatsApp and Instagram , constantly improves its applications to offer new experiences – or by copying Snapchat – to its users. If WhatsApp, the messaging service, is not as updated as its peers, tests are currently underway on the application to allow any type of files to be sent to its contacts.
Even though for the time being this is only testing for a limited number of users, soon, the majority will be able to enjoy a new welcome. Indeed, it will be possible to share any file type with its contacts, whether in one-to-one discussions or groups. Today, we are still limited with PDF, Word or even spreadsheets. Good news, it’s almost over. Only problem, the deployment of this new feature is quite long.
There will still be a limitation in the size of the files you want to send, namely 100 MB Android, 64 MB on the web version and – unfairly – 128 MB on iOS. A little patience, it will eventually happen.
